3-hour peadiatric awareness course for mum's and dad's

 

 

This peadiatric Emergency Response course is a short course in Basic Life Support, specifically for mum's and dad's.

 

Most parents worry about their children's health at some point and this course gives the tools to deal with both minor events and emergency situations.

It is ideal for parents looking to gain real life saving skills to protect their children.

 

The aim of the course is to enable mum's and dad's to deal with an unresponsive child who is breathing normally, and how to deal with an unresponsive child who is not breathing normally.

 

Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:

 

    • Casualty assessment 

    • primary survey

    • resuscitation

    • Top-to-toe survey

    • manging choking

    • Bleeding and burns

    • Recovery position

    •  

 

Certification

Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual throughout the course and issue a certificate of attendance.

 

 

Numbers

A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course. There is no age limit for anyone wishing to attend.

 

 

Location

We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling.
